I want to acknowledge that my studio is on ancestral and unceded Indigenous territory, a place known as Tiohtiá:ke in Kanien’kéha. I recognize that the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is the steward of the lands and waters of this territory, which has long been a place where meetings and exchanges among nations have occurred.

This acknowledgment is more than just words. It’s a call to action. It’s an invitation to reconsider the privileges we hold today because of colonialism and to think about our actions (or inactions) that perpetuates colonial systems, as well as the link between colonialism and systemic racism.

Even tho I’m Queer, I do know that I’m highly privileged for being a cis white man living on unceded territory.

So that’s why I decided that at the end of each year, I’ll be donating to 5 organizations fighting for marginalized groups and minorities : first nations, 2SLGBTQIA+, racialized groups, people with disabilities, and women. Each one will receive 1% of my revenue.
